Grain Futures Test Resistance

Grain Futures Test Resistance as Charts Consolidate on June 5

Grain futures test resistance zones this morning, with several contracts showing range-bound consolidation following recent rallies. As of June 5, 2025, corn, soybeans, and both classes of wheat are holding near short-term technical thresholds, awaiting further directional catalysts.

🌽 Corn (ZCN25) – 441’0

Corn is firmer at 441’0, holding firm after bouncing off Tuesday’s low near 435. Price is consolidating just beneath the 444 resistance level, forming a potential bull flag on the hourly chart. Watch for a breakout above 444 to confirm upside momentum.

🌱 Soybeans (ZSN25) – 1041’6

Soybeans are down 4 cents at 1041’6. The chart shows a rounded top after peaking near 1052 on Wednesday. Intraday momentum has shifted lower, with potential support in the 1038–1040 area. Failure to hold that zone could invite further pressure into the 1032 range.

🌾 Chicago Wheat (ZWN25) – 545’2

Chicago wheat is slightly lower at 545’2. The contract is holding within a tight rising range after bouncing from the 534 area. Intraday support is forming at 542’0 while 548–550 remains key resistance. A sustained close above 550 could open up a retest of the May highs.

🌾 Minneapolis Spring Wheat (MWN25) – 623’4

Minneapolis wheat is hovering at 623’4, unchanged from Wednesday. Prices are consolidating after bouncing from the 618 level earlier this week. A break above 626’0 would mark a higher high and confirm trend continuation, while a move below 620 would raise downside risk.

🌾 Hard Red Spring Wheat (KWN25) – 624’0

KWN25 is down 2.2 cents at 624’0. After a steep rebound last week, price has begun to form a base just above the 620 level. The chart shows a compression pattern forming; a breakout above 627 or drop below 620 may dictate near-term trend direction.
