Is Momentum Fading? Grain Futures Trade Inside Key Ranges

🌾 Morning Ag Futures Technical Outlook – July 21, 2025

Grain markets begin the week with a mixed tone. Corn is locked in a consolidation zone, soybeans are easing from a sharp rally, and wheat is showing signs of a pullback after a brief breakout. Here’s this morning’s technical snapshot across the major contracts.

🌽 September 2025 Corn (ZCU25)

ZCU25 Corn Futures Chart
  • Last Price: 406-4 | Change: +0-2 (+0.06%)
  • Support: 404-0
  • Resistance: 409-0
  • Trend: Sideways / Range-bound

ZCU25 continues to trade within a narrow band between 404 and 409. Friday’s rally attempt stalled just shy of resistance, and price remains capped below 409-0. Until a breakout occurs, the market favors consolidation. A close above 409 would shift momentum upward, while a break under 404 could target the 400-0 level.

🫘 November 2025 Soybeans (ZSX25)

ZSX25 Soybeans Chart
  • Last Price: 1028-4 | Change: +1-0 (+0.10%)
  • Support: 1022-0
  • Resistance: 1035-6
  • Trend: Short-term Pullback Within Uptrend

ZSX25 surged midweek before topping out above 1044. Friday’s action marked a lower high, and selling has continued into early Monday. However, this appears corrective within the broader uptrend. If support holds at 1022, a bounce could form. Resistance at 1035-6 is the near-term barrier to reclaim.

🌾 September 2025 Wheat (ZWU25)

ZWU25 Wheat Chart
  • Last Price: 547-0 | Change: -0-4 (-0.09%)
  • Support: 544-0
  • Resistance: 549-0
  • Trend: Pullback After Spike

ZWU25 showed a strong breakout last week but failed to hold above 550. Price action now looks corrective, with short-term support at 544. If this area fails to hold, the market could revisit 538. Bulls need a push back through 549 to maintain momentum.

📊 Technical Summary

Contract Trend Support Resistance Outlook
ZCU25 Sideways 404-0 409-0 Tight range, breakout needed
ZSX25 Uptrend (cooling) 1022-0 1035-6 Holding gains, watch for bounce
ZWU25 Pullback 544-0 549-0 Needs follow-through to resume rally
